The book features selected papers from the 2025 International Conference on Green Energy, Computing, and Intelligent Technology (GEn‑CITy 2025). The volume highlights recent advances in intelligent systems and data‑driven technologies essential to building a sustainable future. The contributions address pressing challenges in sustainability, efficiency, and societal well‑being, focusing on Green energy systems and sustainable technologies; advanced communication systems and antenna innovations; artificial intelligence and machine learning for healthcare and biomedical applications; and Computer vision, image processing, and remote sensing. The book provides a comprehensive reference for researchers, practitioners, and graduate students. It offers guidance on current developments, identifies emerging opportunities, and showcases innovative approaches to harness intelligent systems for a more sustainable and resilient future.

Jimson Mathew is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India. He received his Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K. He served as Head of the Department of CSE at IIT Patna from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Mathew has also held positions at the Centre for Wireless Communications, National University of Singapore; Bell Laboratories Research, Lucent Technologies, North Ryde, Australia; the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden; and the University of Bristol, U.K. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as Guest Editor for ACM TECS. He regularly contributes to program committees of leading international conferences and holds multiple patents. His research interests include fault‑tolerant computing, computer vision, machine learning and deep learning architectures, and IoT systems.

Lenin Gopal is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM). He earned his B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, India (1996), M.Eng. in Telecommunications Engineering from Multimedia University, Malaysia (2006), and Ph.D. from Curtin University, Australia (2015). He has served as principal investigator for a MOSTI‑funded project on efficient low‑power system‑on‑chip architectures and has led projects supported by FRGS Malaysia and Digital Sarawak CoE (DSCoE), SMA, Malaysia. Gopal was General Chair for ICSCC 2019 and GECOST 2021, and currently serves as General Chair for GEN‑CITY. He has graduated 10 Ph.D. and 7 M.Phil. students and supervises ongoing doctoral research in renewable energy and cooperative communications. He is frequently invited to serve on technical program committees of leading international conferences in electrical power and communications.

Filbert H. Juwono received his B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and M.Eng. in Telecommunication Engineering from Universitas Indonesia, Depok, in 2007 and 2009, respectively, and his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Western Australia, Perth, in 2017. He is currently with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong‑Liverpool University. His research interests include signal processing for communications, wireless communications, power‑line communications, smart grids and battery technology, machine learning applications, and biomedical engineering. Juwono was awarded the prestigious Australian Awards Scholarship in 2012. He serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Access, Review Editor for Frontiers in Signal Processing, Editor for Scientific Reports, and Editor‑in‑Chief of the newly established journal Green Intelligent Systems and Applications.
