William Baber | Arto Ojala
This book explores the sub-ecosystems that shape the global New Space business ecosystem and examines how space businesses evolve across regions, technologies, business models, and sustainability challenges. It provides an international perspective on the changing space economy, highlighting the forces transforming entrepreneurship, innovation, competition, and internationalization in New Space.
The first section examines global and regional dynamics, including geopolitics, coopetition, and the development of New Space ecosystems in Japan, Spain, the Middle East, France, Italy, and Southeast Asia. The second section focuses on space business platforms, consulting, space-based computing, and cybersecurity. The third explores business model innovation, internationalization, and the evolution of platform-based business models. The final section addresses sustainability, including developments in New Zealand and the European Union and how firms integrate sustainability into space missions and service delivery.
