Amlan Chakrabarti is a Professor and Director of the A.K. Choudhury School of Information Technology at the University of Calcutta, where he previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (2016–2019). He completed his MTech and PhD at the University of Calcutta, in association with ISI Kolkata, and later served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Princeton University, USA (2011–2012). With nearly 20 years of experience, Prof. Chakrabarti has received numerous prestigious accolades, including the DST BOYSCAST Fellowship, INSA Visiting Faculty Fellowship, JSPS Invitation Research Award, Erasmus Mundus Leaders Award, Hamied Visiting Professorship, Siksha Ratna Award, and the IBM Quantum Researchers Access Award. He is a Fellow of both the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology and COMSYS, and serves as a member of the Technical Expert Group for India's National Quantum Mission. An active researcher, he has secured multiple project grants, published over 200 research papers, holds 6 patents, and has supervised 24 PhD graduates. He also serves as an Associate Editor and Series Editor for various international journals and book series. His primary research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Reconfigurable Computing, Cyber-Physical Systems, VLSI CAD, and Quantum Computing.
Hafizur Rahaman is a Full Professor at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, India, where he leads the VLSI Design and Test Group. He was a Royal Society Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, UK (2006–2009) and a Visiting Professor at the University of Bremen, Germany (2013–2015). Prof. Rahaman’s research interests span the design and testing of integrated circuits, nano-biochips, and emerging nanotechnologies, including quantum computing. Over his career, he has published more than 350 research articles and supervised 17 doctoral and 46 master's theses, with an additional 8 doctoral theses currently in progress. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Fellow of IE(I) and IETE, and an active member of VSI and ACM. Prof. Rahaman frequently serves on the technical committees of major international conferences and was the General Chair of the IEEE Asian Test Symposium (ATS) 2019 in Kolkata, India.
