The book is divided into four sections, each addressing different aspects of biomass valorization. Topics include the biochemical conversion of first-, second-, and third-generation feedstocks, the valorization of agricultural and plantation residues, the utilization of food and agro-processing waste, and the potential of novel biomass resources such as weeds and fruit and vegetable waste. Special emphasis is placed on the latest developments in palm oil, cassava, rubber industry residues, and food waste, providing readers with the most up-to-date research and techniques. The main benefit for readers is acquiring a comprehensive knowledge base on the bioconversion of marginalized feedstocks, with a strong focus on creating sustainable, circular bioeconomies. This book will be of immense value to researchers, professionals, and policymakers in the fields of biotechnology, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

Dr. Rahmath Abdulla is an Associate Professor for Biotechnology Programme at Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
