This book explores the critical role of sustainable practices in the aviation industry, a sector that underpins global connectivity, economic growth, and societal development. Facing urgent environmental challenges, aviation must reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize noise pollution, and improve fuel efficiency. This book provides a comprehensive overview of management practices, economic strategies, and regulatory frameworks that are shaping the future of sustainable aviation.
It examines strategic management, supply chain optimization, green airport operations, renewable energy integration, and public-private partnerships, highlighting how visionary leadership and innovative business models address environmental and operational challenges. Focusing on the years 2023 and 2024, the book details advancements in aircraft technologies, operational efficiencies, flight scheduling, fleet management, and fuel optimization that help reduce the industry’s carbon footprint.
Through critical discussion and case studies, the book covers sustainable aviation fuels, policy evolution, risk management, infrastructure development, community engagement, and the alignment of sustainable tourism with aviation practices. International examples from both Western and Eastern markets provide a global perspective, and chapters are authored by both academicians and industry practitioners, combining theoretical insights with practical applications.
Key topics include management practices for sustainability, emerging global trends, and regulatory challenges such as market volatility, new markets, and trade barriers.
