He spent one year as a visiting scholar at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania before advancing through the academic ranks to become Professor of Radiology, Professor of Urology, and Associate Dean of SNU (2002–2004). He later served as Chair of the Department of Radiology (2008–2010) and Vice President of SNUH (2010–2013).\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops: 27.0pt;\"\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS','sans-serif';\"\u003eHe has also held leadership roles in numerous Korean and international imaging societies, serving as President of the Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (KSUM, 2007–2010), the Korean Society of Urogenital Radiology (KSUR, 2008–2009), the Asian Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB, 2010–2012), the Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology (2009–2011), the Korean Society of Radiology (KSR, 2015–2018), and the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB, 2019–2021). In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Kim has been honored as an honorary member or fellow by many international imaging societies, including the European Society of Radiology, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops: 27.0pt;\"\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS','sans-serif';\"\u003eDr. Kim’s subspecialty is urogenital imaging and intervention. His clinical work focuses on kidney ultrasound and expert consultation for urogenital CT and MRI.
