Amit Saxena is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geoengineering at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais, India, where he also serves as Co-Chairman of Training and Placement. He earned his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from IIT (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. Dr. Saxena's research focuses on developing multifunctional additives for oil field applications, including enhanced oil recovery, drilling fluids, and wellbore cementing, with particular emphasis on indigenous technology solutions. He has authored over 50 publications in international journals and conference proceedings, contributed chapters to several books, including those published by Elsevier and Springer, and filed multiple patents. His research has been supported by major Indian oil companies including ONGC, Oil India Limited, and HPCL Mittal Energy Limited.He has delivered keynote addresses at international conferences and received recognition including the prestigious Indian National Science Academy fellowship (2018-19). Dr. Saxena is actively involved in training industry professionals and has successfully mentored numerous graduate students in petroleum engineering research.
Sanket J. Joshi is a Professor and Deputy Director at Amity Institute of Microbial Technology, Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur, India. He served as Deputy Director, Oil & Gas Research Center (2018-2023) and an Application Specialist at the Central Analytical and Applied Research Unit, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman (2013-2023). He holds BSc and MSc degrees from Sardar Patel University, India, and a PhD from M. S. University of Baroda, India – all in Microbiology. Prof. Joshi has 20 years of academic teaching and research experience and 4 years of industrial R&D experience in India and Oman. His primary research interests include Energy, Environmental Bioremediation, waste to energy and biofuels, and Microbial Biotechnology. He has 155 scientific publications and more than 70 conference abstracts, to his credit. He is book series editor of ‘Advances in Biotechnology and Bioengineering', Elsevier INC.; Environmental Biotechnology (Taylor & Francis) and Associate/Editor/Guest editor for several international journals. He is listed among the 2% of the "Elsevier” list of the highly cited scientists in the world since 2022 for excellence in scientific research in ‘Energy’ and ‘Biotechnology’ disciplines.
