Adarsh Kohli is a known Child and Adolescent consultant psychologist who lives and practices in Chandigarh. Having done her schooling from Carmel Convent School and post-graduation from Punjab University, Chandigarh she superannuated from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh as a Professor of Clinical Psychology. She has received the highest awards in Child Clinical Psychology, and published around 100 research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Having travelled globally and having been trained in London, UK, University of Sydney, Australia and University of Los Angeles US, she is also a recipient of two WHO fellowships. She has developed many tests for children, prominent being PGI Memory Scale for Children, the Sentence Completion Test for Children, Home Environment scale and the Pleasure scale.

She was elected as the President of Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health from 2018-2020 and a fellow of Indian Association of Clinical Psychology. A passionate advocate of child rights, she has worked extensively with disadvantaged, abused and traumatized children.

Known for her empathetic, accessible and yet highly professional approach, she is popular for her counselling skills as a private practitioner. Besides this, she enjoys gardening, especially growing organic vegetables, cooking and meeting new people. Her family includes her husband, a barrister son and a daughter who is into teaching and three lovely grandsons aged 11, 9 and 5.

Nitin Gupta is Former Professor of Psychiatry, and former Medical Superintendent, Mental Health Institute, Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32 (GMCH-32), Chandigarh, India, a tertiary health care institute in North India. He has additional considerable experience of working abroad in the United Kingdom as Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS.

Apart from being a recipient of numerous national and international awards and honours, Nitin was also awarded the Kataria Memorial Gold Medal of PGIMER for the best postgraduate student of the Institute (1996-97). Most recently, he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of World Association of Social Psychiatry in January 2026.

Nitin has extensive experience as Editor of different journals (Indian Journal of Social Psychiatry, World Social Psychiatry, Indian Journal of Biological Psychiatry) for over a decade; and is the current Editor of Journal of Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (JIACAM); the official journal of Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (IACAM).

He has over 30 years of experience of working in the field of academic psychiatry and general adult psychiatry, with a special interest in psychotherapy & child and adolescent psychiatry. In spite of currently being in private practice since 2019, Nitin remains committed and passionate about teaching and academics and advocating evidence based clinical practice.
