This volume explores the relationship between colours, humans, and nonhumans in terms of dynamic material and informational exchanges in nature, addressing at the same time the idea that environmental posthumanism critiques anthropocentrism by emphasizing our enmeshment in a vibrant and agentic relationship with the nonhuman world.

The volume brings together different voices across the globe and lays the groundwork to frame a “colour turn” in the environmental humanities and posthumanities, emphasizing agency and significance of nonhuman entities through a pluralistic outlook.
