This book explores various creative approaches to treating sexual violence trauma in psychotherapy, from both individual and systemic perspectives. It includes a review of the current state of sexual violence on college campuses as well as an exploration of the #MeToo movement, and provides examples of current sociocultural context surrounding sexual violence. The authors additionally provide examples of their clinical work with sexual violence survivors, which integrates various creative techniques (e.g., writing, visual arts, music).

Katherine Evarts is a licensed clinical psychologist and core faculty at Antioch University New England. Dr. Evarts is also Antioch's Director of the Center for Diversity and Social Justice, a role in which she oversees several campus affinity groups focused on advocacy, including a sexual violence awareness group. Dr. Evarts is a trauma therapist with a specific focus on sexual violence trauma and continues to engage in research in this area both as a contributor and as a dissertation advisor. Dr. Evarts has acted as a consultant for local agencies, such as schools, experiencing increases in sexual violence on campus.

Casey Buonocore is a New York-based licensed clinical psychologist, and she currently serves as Director of Training at Pace University Counseling Center in Manhattan. In this role, she is responsible for teaching and supervising psychology doctoral students. She ensures that trainee work adheres to appropriate academic and ethical standards. Through her years of experience in university counseling centers, Dr. Buonocore has worked with countless survivors of sexual violence trauma and aided in their pursuit of medical and legal assistance. She has dedicated most of her career to advocating for and with survivors of sexual violence, dating back to acting as the Student Leader of Antioch University New England's Sexual Assault and Harassment Awareness Group.

Lorraine Mangione is a licensed clinical psychologist and core faculty at Antioch University New England. Dr. Mangione is also Antioch's Director of Practica, a role in which she often works with university administrators, such as Title IX coordinators, as well as administrators from other organizations. Dr. Mangione has specialized in providing group psychotherapy throughout her career. Dr. Mangione has published multiple research projects on the value of creativity as a form of healing.
