ROWE has made major contributions to a wide range of subjects in the communications area, including the Manley-Rowe relations, early work on multi-mode random waveguides, a widely used method for determining digital angle-modulation spectra, and more. Dr. Rowe was the joint recipient of the David Sarnoff award in 1977 and the Microwave Prize in 1972 for his contributions, and is the author of Signal and Noise in Communications Systems.
