Hydrogel-Based Flexible Supercapacitors for Sustainable Energy Storage
Abu Bin Imran
This book details the use of hydrogel materials and nanomaterials to build efficient and flexible energy storage systems, including synthesis and manufacturing processes for electrodes and optimizing features. It discusses the use of conductive polymers and nanomaterials to improve conductivity and capacity. Characterization methods are included to highlight performance metrics and mechanical characteristics under stress/strain. It explores mechanical stability, water retention, and environmental influences on device performance, and ways to improve supercapacitor durability and cycle life.
Features:
- It addresses the growing demand for flexible and sustainable energy storage solutions by focusing on hydrogel-based supercapacitors.
- It bridges the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications, with a particular emphasis on wearable electronics, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.
- It discusses the optimization of hydrogel porosity, water retention, and integrating conductive polymers with nanomaterials.
- It provides insights into emerging materials, sustainable practices, and scalability concerns.
- It includes practical applications with emphasis on specific design considerations for health-monitoring sensors, wearable electronics, and smart fabrics.
This book is aimed at researchers and graduate students in materials science, electrochemistry, and energy.
