Carlos A. Scolari is a Professor in the Department of Communication at Pompeu Fabra University - Barcelona. His latest book, On the Evolution of Media: Understanding Media Change, was published by Routledge in 2023. He has led significant research projects such as H2020 TRANSLITERACY (2015-18) and PLATCOM (2020-24). He has lectured internationally on topics like interfaces, transmedia storytelling, media ecology, and interactive communication. Mar Guerrero-Pico is a Tenure-track Lecturer in Fan Studies, Transmedia Storytelling, and Media Literacy in the Department of Communication at Universitat Pompeu Fabra -Barcelona, Spain. She has worked as a research assistant for several national and European projects focused on exploring the transmedia skills and informal learning strategies of adolescents through their daily media practices. Her research interests include fan cultures, (trans)media education, and platformization. Her articles have been published in journals such as New Media and Society, Social Media + Society, Learning, Media and Technology, and International Journal of Communication, among others.

Martiña Piña is a predoctoral researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra -Barcelona. Her main research interests are focused on learning and literacy in the use of platforms and digital resources. She has participated in projects related to the use of technologies in platform labour, formal education, and cyberbullying. She has published in journals such as Comunicar, Culture and Education, Journal of Communications, and Convergence
