Yitzhak Y. Melamed is the Charlotte Bloomberg Professor of Philosophy and the Humanities at Johns Hopkins University. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Chicago. His research spans Early Modern Philosophy, German Idealism, and Medieval Philosophy. He is the author of Spinoza's Metaphysics: Substance and Thought (Oxford 2013) and Spinoza's Labyrinths (Oxford, 2025) and also works on issues in contemporary metaphysics.
