Annabelle Conroy is associate lecturer in the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs at the University of Central Florida, USA. She is affiliated with the Women's and Gender Studies and Latin American Studies programs at the University of Central Florida. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Conroy conducted extensive field research in Bolivia (2011-2014). She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Latin American studies. Her work focuses on Latin American politics, indigenous movements, gender and representation, and comparative public policy.


Waltraud Morales joined the University of Central Florida's, USA, political science department in fall 1980, and for nearly 35 years taught graduate and undergraduate classes and seminars in international and comparative politics. In 1995, she became the first woman in the department to achieve the rank of full professor. Dr. Morales retired in October 2014 and in April 2017 was awarded the status of Professor Emerita in Political Science at the Founders' Day Honors Convocation.
