Navigating the Doctoral Journey: A Handbook of Strategies for Success, Second Edition provides doctoral students with a practical, cross-disciplinary handbook for successfully navigating the doctoral process-from initial program selection to program completion to post-program. With a dual focus on professional (EdD, DNP, etc.) and research (PhD) degrees, topics include preparing to enter a doctoral program, understanding the nature and purpose of research, developing social networks, navigating the comprehensive exam and the dissertation process, publishing, and post program blues. Insights are provided by authors who are experts in the field and who have worked with doctoral students for many years.
