Dr. Mehdi Mohammed Ghatus is an international expert in corrosion science and a Mechanical engineering professional with a career spanning academia, research, and industry. He holds a Doctor of Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University (USA), a Master’s degree in Corrosion Science from the University of Manchester (UK), and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tripoli (Libya).
Dr. Ghatus started his career in corrosion engineering at both onshore and offshore facilities, serving as Head of Corrosion Engineering at the Bouri Oil Field (Agip Oil and Gas Company). His expertise includes consulting roles with Millitah Oil and Gas (Libya), CooperStandard Automotive (USA), and teaching positions at universities in Libya, China, and the United States.
He has published extensively in materials science, metallurgy, and mechanical engineering, and currently works as a visiting faculty member in China and as an academic delegate from Eastern Michigan University. His work combines rigorous scientific research with practical industrial applications, providing deep insights into the principles and practices of corrosion protection.
