Medical / Allied Health Services / Physical Therapy
This book comprehensively explores the multidisciplinary and multimodal approach in the identification, diagnosis/evaluation and treatment of pelvic health problems in women, men, children and the geriatric population. Besides, it discusses urogynecological disorders in women.
Pelvic health problems are complex and multifactorial in nature. Therefore, a multidisciplinary and holistic approach is essential in diagnosis and treatment. The traditional single-specialty approach may fail to address the complex nature of pelvic disorders. Throughout the book, the clinical experiences of valuable authors is presented with current evidence and case analyses. Moreover, pelvic anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment, physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches, as well as surgical approaches in pelvic health are discussed.
The book will be of interest to physiotherapists, gynecologists, urologists, and other physicians dealing with pelvic health.
