Building on the conceptual framework established in earlier volumes, The Sustainable Organization – Volume 3 advances the conversation from principles to practice. This volume focuses on how sustainability and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are actively enabled, taught, governed, and implemented across academic institutions, industry, and cross-sector collaborations—guided by the Three‑Pillar Model.
Spanning foundational reflections, academic research, and real‑world case studies, the book brings together diverse perspectives from universities, global enterprises, public institutions, and innovators. Contributions explore topics such as transformative education, data-driven sustainability, circular business models, governance systems, fashion and luxury industries, MedTech, logistics, and collaborative sourcing.
Rather than prescribing a single pathway, this volume embraces plurality, connectivity, and purpose-driven transformation. Historical insights, contemporary case studies, and philosophical reflections underscore both the urgency of action and the opportunity for reconstruction—of organizations, leadership, and sustainability itself. This book serves as both inspiration and guidance for academics, practitioners, and decision-makers committed to shaping resilient, responsible, and future-ready organizations.
