Digital Logic Principles

A Comprehensive Tutorial and Self-Study Lessons

Mehdi Rahmani-Andebili

Technology & Engineering / Electronics / Circuits / General

This undergraduate textbook is a comprehensive tutorial for students enrolled in digital logic design courses. This classroom-tested resource covers essential concepts and laws of digital logic, including digital logic gates and circuits, optimal implementation of logic functions, number representation and arithmetic circuits, combinational circuit building blocks, flip-flops, registers, counters, and synchronous sequential circuits. The book provides in-depth lessons with detailed examples and solutions, helping students tackle theoretical, numerical, and real-world problems effectively. Additionally, partially solved exercises guide students through the problem-solving process by providing hints on the required formulas, while exercises with final answers encourage independent practice. Problems that do not include solutions or answers will assist instructors in designing tests and quizzes, and will also motivate students.

Digital Logic Design: A Comprehensive Tutorial and Self-Study Lessons aims to enhance students' problem-solving skills and foster a solid understanding of digital logic and design by offering a comprehensive tutorial and clear explanations of concepts. It will also serve as a valuable resource for practicing engineers and technicians in the electronics industry, as well as for electronics hobbyists and beginners seeking a practical self-study guide.
