Rare and Complex Cases of Infectious Pathology

Vsevolod Zinserling | Yulia Zyuzya | Vadim Karev | Katharina Wassilew

Medical / Pathology

This book presents the results of long-term investigations carried out by the authors and their collaborators on rare and complex problems in infectious pathology. It covers both paediatric and adult clinical cases, as well as detailed autopsy findings, providing a broad spectrum of insights across different age groups. In addition, it integrates experimental research with carefully documented clinical observations, thereby linking laboratory data with real-world medical practice.

A significant emphasis is placed on rare infections that remain poorly understood or insufficiently represented in standard medical literature. The work also reviews the latest scientific publications, highlighting controversies, unresolved questions, and emerging trends in the field. By combining clinical, pathological, and experimental perspectives, the book aims to deepen the understanding of infectious diseases and contribute to improved diagnostic accuracy and treatment strategies.
