Psychology / General

This volume explores the idea and practice of everyday flourishing from positive psychological perspectives and evidence-based research. Through non-Western contributions to the global literature on flourishing, it significantly adds diversity to the field. The volume provides a comprehensive understanding of how individuals, communities, and organizations can endure adversity. It also utilizes innovative research, practical strategies, and case studies highlighting the positive aspects of resilience, well-being, and personal growth under challenging circumstances. The practical strategies and evidence-based exercises in this volume create bases for discussions on self-awareness, positive relationships, and a sense of purpose in both personal and professional spheres. What sets this book apart is its accessibility: combining engaging writing with a reader-friendly focus. The volume provides a roadmap on how concepts related to flourishing can be applied in practical ways in non-WEIRD settings. This volume is a useful resource for both academics and professionals working in the areas of human well-being, positive psychology, life coaching, and related fields.
