Dr. B. Mahalingam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, School of Earth Sciences, Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography with specialisation in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Madras, Chennai, and has over fifteen years of teaching and research experience at institutions including the University of Madras, University of Mysore, and Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru. His research interests include GIS, Remote Sensing, landslide susceptibility mapping, land use and land cover change analysis, and spatial analysis of socio-environmental issues. He has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and has contributed chapters to several edited volumes. A recipient of the Young Technologist Award from the Union of Geographic Information Technologists (UGIT), he is also a widely invited resource person for GIS and Remote Sensing training programmes across India.

Dr. Vishwanath B.C., M.Sc., Ph.D has held the position of Assistant professor in the Department of Geography, School of Earth Sciences at Central University of Karnataka in India, Since December 2022. Before taking up this post (2016-2022), Dr. Vishwanath worked as Assistant Professor (Contractual/Guest Faculty) at Bangalore University, Bengaluru, India. He has over a decade of teaching and research experience. His research interests are integrated geospatial technologies with environmental monitoring, sustainable urban development and natural resource management. He has presented over 20 papers at various national and international conferences and published 14 research papers in various reputed journals. He was conferred the title of Young Technologist Award by the Union of Geographic Information Technologists (UGIT) at Peradeniya University, Sri Lanka. Dr. Vishwanath continues to advance geospatial innovation, engage the community and develop geographic scholarship.

Dr. Swagata Ghosh, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Central University of Karnataka, India. She received her M.Sc. in Geography from the University of Calcutta, and her M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi. She has been working in various areas of Remote Sensing applications viz. urban growth modelling, urban heat island, air pollution modelling, snow and glacier studies etc. She has published research articles in reputed international journals, edited books, book chapters, and articles in conference proceedings. Dr. Ghosh is a recipient of the Early Career Research Award (ECRA) and received research funding from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India. Dr. Ghosh also received Erasmus+ Grant under an International grant to visit the University of Salzburg, Austria as Visiting Professor.
