Dr. Subhas Chandra Mukhopadhyay (M’97, SM’02, F’11) graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India with a Gold medal and received the Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He holds a PhD (Eng.) from Jadavpur University, India, and a Doctor of Engineering degree from Kanazawa University, Japan. Currently, he is working as a Professor of Mechanical/Electronics Engineering and Discipline Leader of the Mechatronics Degree Programme, School of Engineering, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, with over 35 years of teaching and research experience. His fields of interest include Smart Sensors and Sensing Technology, Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Electromagnetics, Control Engineering, Magnetic Bearing, and Robotics. He has authored/co-authored over 500 papers in international journals, conferences, and book chapters, and has edited over fifty books with Springer-Verlag. He is a Fellow of IEEE (USA), a Fellow of IET (UK), and a Fellow of IETE (India), and is the Founding Chair of the IEEE Sensors Council New South Wales Chapter.
Dr. S.M. Namal Arosha Senanayake, Senior Member of IEEE, Member of INNS & ACS is the Founder and Leader of HAIR (Human Augmented Intelligent Robotics) Solutions Technology Licensing and serves as Program Director of Master of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) at the Canterbury Institute of Management, Sydney, Australia. He holds adjunct and visiting professor appointments at multiple universities across Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Dr. Arosha is the Editor-in-Chief of the Springer Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE) CITISIA book series and serves as Chair of the CITISIA conference. His research spans wearable biosensors, gait and motion analysis, pervasive embedded intelligence, multi-tier sensing frameworks, human augmented robotics, and hybrid human-AI clinical decision support. He was the recipient of the Pro-Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research at Monash University (2008–2010), the UK-South East Asia Knowledge Partnership Collaborative Development Award (2013), and the NICT Japan Research Excellence Award (2021). Holding permanent residency under Australia’s Distinguished Talent Visa, Dr. Arosha is actively establishing HAIR Pte Ltd in Sydney as a vehicle for translating research innovations into societal impact.
Dr. P.W.C. Prasad is an Associate Professor with the School of Computing and Mathematics at Charles Sturt University, Australia, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Duy Tan University, Vietnam. He also contributes to Western Sydney University. He obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University and completed his PhD at Multimedia University, Malaysia. An active researcher in computer architecture, digital systems, and modelling and simulation, Dr. Prasad has published more than 300 research articles in computing and engineering journals and conference proceedings, and has co-authored two textbooks published by Prentice Hall. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the ACS Computer Society.
