Addressing Pelvic and Sexual Health in Migrant Women
Practical Guidance for Community Physiotherapy
Maria Simarro González | Marta Benito Miguel
This book explores pelvic and sexual health in migrant women through the perspective of community physiotherapy, highlighting the influence of social determinants of health, health inequities, and barriers to accessing care. It provides evidence-based and culturally sensitive strategies for health education, prevention, and intervention, while promoting the development of intercultural competencies among healthcare professionals. Combining research, practical guidance, and real-world applications, the book supports physiotherapists and other health professionals in designing inclusive, sustainable, and community-based programs to improve pelvic health and reduce health disparities in migrant populations.
