Daniel Beswick, MD, is a Professor-in-Residence and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, residency at Stanford University, and fellowship in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery at Oregon Health and Science University. His interests include cystic fibrosis-related sinusitis and olfactory loss, inflammatory rhinology and skull base pathology.  Dr. Beswick is an active researcher and has been awarded multiple extramural grants as principal investigator including a R01 grant from the NIH/NHLBI and multiple grants from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Academic of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and International Society of Inflammation and Allergy of the Nose. Dr. Beswick serves as the chair of the Membership Committee for the American Rhinologic Society. He serves on the Task Force for New Materials for the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Beswick is an Associate Editor for the journal International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.  

Sarah K. Wise, MD, MSCR is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the Vice Chair of Education, and Director of Otolaryngic Allergy for her academic department. She has also served as the Residency Program Director and Rhinology Fellowship Director at Emory. Dr. Wise completed residency at Emory University and rhinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wise has served on the Board of Directors of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She is a Past President of the American Rhinologic Society and was the Society’s first female president. Dr. Wise is also a member of the Exam Council for the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Her clinical interests include inflammatory rhinology, otolaryngic allergy, and the relationship of allergy and chronic rhinosinusitis. Her most notable publication is the International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis, where she served as first author/primary editor on the original 2018 document and the 2023 update.
