AI-Enhanced Entrepreneurship

Venture Project Design with AI-Supported ToolBoard

Jaume Teodoro

Business & Economics / Entrepreneurship

As generative artificial intelligence transforms how problems are explored, opportunities are formulated, business models are developed, assumptions are tested, and projects are communicated, entrepreneurs and innovation teams face both an extraordinary opportunity and a new risk: AI can accelerate entrepreneurial work without necessarily producing better entrepreneurial projects.

This book shifts attention from isolated AI outputs to the cumulative design of entrepreneurial projects. Grounded in Design-Based Entrepreneurship (DBE) and Representational Interaction Architecture (RIA), it introduces ToolBoard, a structured design-based methodology and operational system for developing venture projects through explicit questioning, intermediate representations, Human–AI–Human cycles, and iterative validation.

Intended for entrepreneurs, innovation teams, educators, mentors, incubators, and corporate innovation programs, the book offers a practical and conceptual framework for using generative AI in uncertain early-stage contexts while preserving evidence, coherence, traceability, accountability, and human judgment.

Jaume Teodoro is Associate Professor at TecnoCampus–Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where he teaches entrepreneurship and innovation and researches entrepreneurship and society. His work focuses on structured methods for venture development and the use of AI to support entrepreneurial reasoning and innovation. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Girona and a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, with advanced studies at UC Berkeley and MIT. His career spans academia, institutional leadership, and business, including CEO roles at TecnoCampus and Lavinia Group. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to publicly funded R&D projects.
