This book offers a delightful experience to discover Frederic Riesz's original lectures  on various domains of mathematical analysis, given more than a century ago. Like in his research papers, he quickly introduces the readers to the heart of the subjects in an elegant, lively and transparent way: the readers may have the feeling to directly listen to Riesz during his talks.
