This book presents the high quality proceedings from the 2nd edition of the conference “Recent Technologies and Innovations in Electronics and Photonics” held at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India during March 2026, discussing the most recent and novel developments in the fields of semiconductors, photonics and electronics in a very systematic fashion. Semiconductors lie at the heart of modern electronics and photonics, which form the building blocks of all smart and sustainable technologies. Semiconductor innovation, together with advances in electronics and photonics, is driving transformative progress in areas such as smart systems, energy harvesting, communication platforms, transportation networks, and environmental monitoring.  Our focus in this book is not just on technological innovations but on specific advancements in the fields of electronics and photonics which can enable smart and sustainable development. This book bridges fundamental physical principles and scalable engineering applications, offering actionable insights for researchers, academic faculties, and industry professionals. By highlighting cross-disciplinary breakthroughs—from quantum-dot optoelectronics and fiber optic dispersion modeling to econophysics and advanced energy harvesting—it serves as an indispensable reference for those shaping the future of next-generation technologies.

Dr. Aavishkar Katti is a physicist specializing in theoretical optics, nonlinear photonics, and soliton dynamics, with his research spanning nonlinear wave propagation, photorefractive effects, and optical solitons. He is currently an Associate Professor of Physics at Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET), Ghaziabad, Delhi-NCR, India with a total teaching experience of more than nine years. Dr. Katti’s research output includes more than 70 peer-reviewed SCI and Scopus indexed research articles along with two authored research monographs on Optical Solitons and Bragg Fibers published by Springer. In addition, he has five edited research reference books published by Springer, SPIE, and Bentham. He has been awarded with several research grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in recognition of his research work. Dr. Katti serves on the editorial boards of Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), Discover Applied Sciences (Springer), Physics Open (Elsevier) among other international and reputed journals.
Dr. Jagadish Naik is a physicist specializing in atomic and molecular physics, dielectric materials, and polymer nanocomposites. He is currently serving as an assistant professor (Senior Scale) in Physics at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT-World Peace University, Pune (India). With over seven years of teaching and research experience, he has contributed extensively to the fields of dielectric properties of polymers, nanostructured materials, and optoelectronic applications. His work has addressed fundamental aspects of ionic conductivity, free volume studies, and electrochemical properties, with direct relevance to energy storage and optoelectronic devices. Dr. Naik has authored over 30 peer-reviewed research publications in reputed international journals such as Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, Journal of Luminescence, Polymer Bulletin, RSC Advances, and International Journal of Biological Macromolecules. He has also contributed four book chapters and presented at more than 20 international and national conferences.
Dr. Parvej Ahmad Alvi is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Physical Sciences at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, India.
