This book focuses surface soil moisture inversion through analysis of different remote sensing data sources. The main content includes background, visible light, thermal infrared and SAR remote sensing soil moisture inversion algorithm, and soil moisture assimilation method of multi-source remote sensing data and hydrological process model. It combs algorithms of soil moisture retrieval from remote sensing data by case studies, which can be used as reference for graduate students and researchers.

The basis of English translation of this book, originally in Chinese, was facilitated by artificial intelligence. The content was later revised by the author for accuracy.
