Rapid urbanization due to huge population and economic growth has unprecedented effect on the environmental sustainability. The article described here covered traffic safety to waste management, utilization of nanotechnology, bioremediation, alternative energy resources, energy storage, and societal sustainability. Also, this book presents the current innovation in the field of safe and secure management of urban society that are sustainable as well as eco-friendly. Every country is looking for alternative, sustainable, and clean energy resources to meet the demands. Manish Kumar: Dr. Manish Kumar joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as Distinguished Professor in Water Science for the School of Engineering and Sciences in 2023. He has been part of Sustainability Cluster, UPES, Dehradun, and the Faculty in the Discipline of Earth at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, and he has also worked at the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), US, as Visiting Faculty under the Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship. His academic and research formation has also taken place in universities around the world such as Tezpur University, in India; Kunsan National University, in South Korea; and Uppsala University, in Sweden, to name a few. He has been featured in the list of the top 2% researchers in the world released by Stanford University since its inception, and he is Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
