Edith M. Y. Yan is a Professor in the Department of Languages and Cultures and an Educational Developer in the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). A recipient of the President’s Award for Service in 2020, she served as Programme Director of the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS) Programmes from 2011 to 2019 and as Acting Programme Director from 2020 to 2021. Before joining BNBU, she taught biology, science, and English at various educational levels in Hong Kong. Her research interests include teaching with technology, English medium instruction, first language use in language teaching, and teacher professional development. She has published in these areas and presented at AAAL, AERA, and other professional conferences.

Juyoung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages and Cultures at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). She received her PhD in Linguistics and TESOL, specializing in second language acquisition (SLA) and psycholinguistics, from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Her doctoral research was published in a peer-reviewed SSCI journal in 2022. Since 2016, she has taught various core TESOL courses, including Second Language Acquisition, Language Teaching Methodology, and Curriculum Development and Materials Design. Her research interests include SLA, computer-assisted language learning (CALL), corpus linguistics, psycholinguistics, ESL/EFL teacher education, and technology integration in higher education. She has published journal articles and book chapters in these areas, and has presented at AAAL and other professional conferences.

Jackie L. K. Yeoh is an Associate Professor in the English Language and Literature Studies programme within the Department of Languages and Cultures at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. In addition to her academic credentials, she is a certified corporate trainer accredited by the Department for Training & Education, South Australia (DETAFE), and the Malaysian Human Resource Department. Her research interests include English for Specific Purposes, pragmatics, workplace discourse, and materials design. More recently, her work has centred on the role of Generative AI in language education, particularly in language assessment, where she explores innovative methods to enhance assessment practices.
