Prof. Vipin Kumar is a professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, India. He earned his doctorate in Environmental Science and his postgraduate degree in Microbiology. Prof. Kumar's areas of interest in research includes microbial remediation of various persistence pollutants, solid waste management, restoration ecology, microbial biosensor, resource recovery from waste, application biotechnology, etc.
Prof. Kumar has published two patents and more than 90 research publications with about 350 impact factor and more than 3000 citation in various National and International Journal of repute. Also he has authored eight books (one in Springer Nature) and proceedings. He has done numerous research and consulting projects funded by the various ministries and industries for the national importance. He has guided 18 Ph.D. scholars, 32 M.Tech. dissertation.
