This book highlights fast, iterative algorithms for solving multi constraint beamforming optimization problems in the field of array signal processing. It helps readers to develop a thorough understanding of computationally efficient solutions based on the alternating direction method of multipliers. These solutions can enhance real time performance while enabling precise control over array gain, robustness, sidelobe levels, and mainlobe responses across diverse environments. Key topics include high gain beamforming, sidelobe and mainlobe optimization, and FIR filter based broadband beamformer design, all supported by rigorous derivations, comparative analyses, and practical implementation frameworks. Distinguished by its wealth of illustrative examples, step by step algorithmic guidance, and a balanced integration of theory and applications, this book equips engineers and researchers with streamlined optimization techniques to improve signal resolution, interference rejection, and system performance in radar, sonar, wireless communications, and acoustic systems. Tailored for signal processing professionals, array system engineers, and graduate students, this work delivers cutting edge, implementable solutions for modern array signal processing challenges.
