Dr. Yogeshwar V. Navandar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. He has published 11 book chapters and more than 25 articles in journals and presented more than 50 works at conferences. He was also a coordinator/co- coordinator for 14 STTP/FDP/online certification courses in the field of infrastructure development, application of statistics in transportation engineering, application of multi-criteria decision-making in transportation and logistics, and port management, among others. In addition, he coordinated the international conference, Sustainable University Development: Opportunity and Challenge (SUDOC 2022), held at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, and the 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Infrastructure Developments (RAID 2024) held at the National Institute of Technology Calicut. He has 5 sponsored research projects funded by different organizations and societies.

Dr. Sudha Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. She has published many articles in journals and presented her work at conferences. She was awarded Suchit Kumar Ghosh Memorial Award 2021 at the 36th Indian Engineering Congress, Delhi, India. She has also coordinated or co-coordinated STTP/FDP/online certification courses in the field of deterioration, diagnostics, and rehabilitation of RC structures. She has completed one research project funded by TEQIP III.

Dr. Mohammed Firoz C currently serves as Chairperson of the Centre for Climate Resilience and Disaster Management (C-CRDM), NIT Calicut. He previously served as Head of the Department of Architecture and Planning at NIT Calicut, a Government of India Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning and Design. With over 21 years of academic, research, and professional experience, his work focuses on climate-resilient urban development, regional planning, disaster risk reduction, sustainable infrastructure, and smart and livable cities.

He has served as Visiting Associate Professor at Keio University, Japan, Visiting Faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and Visiting Teacher at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. He has also been invited as a Visiting Researcher at Hiroshima University, Japan. He currently leads several national and international research and consultancy initiatives, including Floor Space Index (FSI) reforms, post-tsunami housing resilience, landslide resilience, and India–Japan collaborative research on climate resilience.

He has authored and edited several books and published more than 50 scholarly works. He also actively advises governments, international institutions, and professional bodies on urban policy, climate adaptation, and resilient community development.

Professor Rajib Shaw is a professor at the Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University, Japan. He is also a senior fellow of the Institute of Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) Japan and the chairperson of the Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS) Asia and the Church World Service (CWS) Japan, two Japanese NGOs. His expertise includes disaster governance, community-based disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, urban risk management, and disaster and environmental education. Professor Shaw was the chair of the United Nations Science Technology Advisory Group (STAG) for disaster risk reduction and currently is the co-chair of

the Asia Pacific Science Technology Academic Advisory Group (APSTAAG). He is also the coordinating lead author (CLA) for the Asia chapter’s 6th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Progress in Disaster Science.
