Mohd Fairuz Zamani is an internationally recognized Malaysian pianist, composer, and scholar whose work bridges Southeast Asian musical identity with global artistic standards. He is Deputy Dean of Postgraduate, Research, and Innovation at Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Creative Arts, where he leads research on contemporary Malaysian composition and analytical methodologies for regional music. A laureate of the Conservatoire International de Musique de Paris, Fairuz is an active performer and adjudicator on international stages. His compositions and arrangements have been featured in major cultural platforms, and as a member of the Malaysian Composers Collective, he continues to champion innovative works that resonate globally. His leadership in research and performance positions him as a key voice in advancing creative arts scholarship in Asia and beyond.

Loo Fung Ying is Associate Professor of Cultural Musicology and Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts at Universiti Malaya. Her research spans cultural musicology, performance practice, popular music, and interdisciplinary studies on music, movement, and perception. She has published widely in leading international journals and serves on editorial boards including eTropic and Media Watch. A recipient of multiple research grants and awards, she has held key leadership roles in postgraduate research, accreditation panels, and national research assessment. Her work bridges scholarship and practice, advancing global discourse on music, culture, and embodiment.
