Sandhya Babel | Akash Balakrishnan | Paiboon Sreearunothai | Binod Parameswaran
This book centers on advancing sustainable materials and green nanotechnology as key enablers of a low-carbon, resource-efficient future. It brings together cutting-edge innovations in nanomaterials, porous frameworks, smart composites, electrocatalytic systems, biomass valorization, and environmental technologies, offering a unique perspective on how next-generation materials can drive the emerging green economy. The book highlights a broad spectrum of contemporary material platforms, ranging from MOFs, COFs, graphitic carbon nitride, and 2D materials to bio-based and hybrid systems, nano-coatings, and thermoplastic starch. Each chapter explores not only fundamental principles and synthesis strategies but also real-world applications in renewable energy production, photocatalysis, capacitive deionization, CO₂ capture, AI assisted anaerobic digestion, environmental pollutant sensing, and advanced environmental remediation. This book serves as an essential reference for researchers, graduate students, engineers, and industry practitioners working in nanotechnology, materials science, chemical engineering, and environmental technology.
