Geohazards, Structural Dynamics and Disaster Risk Management, Volume 1
Proceedings of the International Conference on Ground Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure (ICGESI-2026)
Meghna Sharma | Manendra Singh | Neelima Satyam | Bal Krishna Maheshwari
This book presents selected Proceedings of the International Conference on Ground Engineering & Sustainable Infrastructure (ICGESI-2026), and includes geohazards such as ground subsidence, landslides, and earthquakes, which pose serious challenges to infrastructure stability and community safety. It covers the critical insights into the dynamic response of soil under varying seismic intensities. The book also comprises rigorous analysis of vibration characteristics, resonance effects, and damping mechanisms to optimize structural performance under transient and cyclic loading. Additionally, the multi-hazard risk assessment frameworks, the integration of geotechnical modeling, dynamic analysis, and disaster management strategies are included, which provide a holistic approach for enhancing resilience, mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring sustainable infrastructure development in hazard-prone environments. Overall, this book is beneficial for beginners, researchers, and professionals interested in studying geotechnical hazards and disaster resilience.
