Science / Environmental Science

This book presents a clear and interdisciplinary view of climate change, justice, and sustainable development in the Global South. It brings together expert contributions that connect environmental, social, and economic dimensions of climate challenges. The book focuses on practical strategies that support countries facing rising climate risks and inequality. It explains realistic approaches, evidence‑based insights, and region‑specific solutions that guide researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.

The chapters move through global climate trends, environmental inequality, resilience in coastal communities, water security challenges, sustainable agriculture, and urban climate risks. They also explore renewable energy pathways, gender perspectives, Indigenous knowledge systems, migration pressures, climate finance mechanisms, and climate governance. Each chapter provides grounded analysis backed by case studies from Africa, MENA countries, and other developing regions.

This book is a useful resource for academic researchers, graduate students, policymakers, development agencies, NGOs, and civil society groups engaged in climate adaptation and sustainable development. It also supports educators, international institutions, and local leaders who seek accessible and practical knowledge to strengthen climate resilience across developing regions.
