Narender K. Magu (MS, FAMS) received his post-graduate training at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, India. He was professor and head of the orthopedics department at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak till Dec 2015, Prof Orthopaedics at SGT University Gurugram from Jan 2015 to May 2016, and senior consultant Hip and Pelvi-acetabular surgeon at Max Super-Speciality Hospital Saket New Delhi from March 2018 to March 2022. Currently he is working as senior consultant Orthopaedics at Fortis Hospital Manesar Gurugram, Haryana, India. He is author of more than 70 peer- reviewed publications with 1068 citations in international publications and has delivered more than 500 presentations in various international and national meetings. Professor has done pioneering work on “Hip preservation and hip reconstruction” and has conducted numerous hands-on workshops, cadaveric courses and symposia on the subject at national and international platforms including Japan, Hull University and many more countries. Prof Magu has been AO national and international regional faculty; Co-chairman in AO courses on osteotomies. In recognition of his scientific work, he was awarded FAMS by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, in 2014. His work on hip preservation has been included in popular books “Campbell’s Operative Orthopedics” and “Turek’s Orthopaedics”.
