Smart Hydrogels and Ferrogels

From Basic Fundamentals to Advanced Theranostics

Shikha Awasthi

Technology & Engineering / Materials Science / General

The book discusses hydrogel's and ferrogels' fundamental concepts and key capabilities while focusing on doping magnetic particles inside the polymeric network. The book outlines the potential for encapsulating magnetic materials in a polymeric matrix to modify mechanical, tribological, biological, electrochemical, and adsorption kinetic phenomena. This can lead to a variety of applications, including drug delivery, wound healing, diagnostics, and therapeutics (such as magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic biosensing). To provide readers with a clear understanding of the latest developments, characteristics, and uses of hydrogels and ferrogels, this book provides a comprehensive representation of the wide range of projections over hydrogels and ferrogels.
