Reengagement: Connecting Young People to School and Work addresses persistent disparities in school and college completion across racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Bringing together diverse perspectives and actionable recommendations, the book focuses on reconnecting out-of-school, out-of-work youth ages 16–24 to education and employment. Integrating state and local policy, current research, youth voice, and practical examples, it serves as an updated handbook for advancing policy and program development nationwide. This book examines identifies ongoing barriers, and outlines the actions needed to scale effective reengagement efforts.
